Brief Description
The Executive Director is responsible for thesuccessful leadership and management of a JDRF Chapter according to the organizationalstrategic direction. In partnership with the Regional Director, Chapter staffand Board of Directors, establish a donor-centric model of fundraising focusedon stewardship and cultivation while growing leadership giving to driveincreased revenue for T1D research.

路 Leader and catalyst for aggressive chapter-based sustained YOY revenue growth

路 Builder and motivator of a highly effective sales-oriented/Fundraising team (staff and volunteers)

路 Financial management and leadership

路 Implements and upholds strategic plan and priorities

路 Collaborator and Partner

Responsibilities

路 Cultivate a winning environment; actively engage and energize chapter staff, volunteers, board members, committees, community partners and donors

路 Create a culture of excellence and accountability in the chapter

路 Day to day management and oversight of chapter operations that align to strategic plan priorities ensuring adherence to JDRFSOPs.

路 Manage to chapter budget resulting in year over year sustainable growth as well as ensure accurate forecasting

路 Manage a sales process for active pipeline development for revenue programs as well as regional/national opportunities

路 Collaboration and partnership with local IBOD members as part of the relationship team

路 Ensure staff is equipped with tools to be set up for success and hold accountable to results

路 Actively identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and volunteer leadership

路 Talent recruitment, career development, management and engagement of staff and volunteers

Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required; CFRE a plus. Seven + (7+) years of related non-profit fundraising experience with 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Demonstrated strength in sales, fundraising, major gifts, partnering with volunteer boards and corporate development. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human behavior and performance and leadership techniques. Training and/or experience in community development. Flexibility to travel as needed.
