POSITION SUMMARY The investment analyst will work in a small, flat investment organization supporting the management and oversight of UJA-Federation鈙 investment assets. The assets are invested with external managers globally across a broad range of asset classes and strategies including public equity and credit, hedge funds, private equity, and real assets. The ideal candidate will be an enterprising problem solver with a passion for investing that can work collaboratively, supporting a team focused on generating attractive longterm risk-adjusted returns. The individual must have the ability to articulate and defend well-reasoned opinions backed by rigorous analysis through both oral and written communication. The position requires familiarity with quantitative methods of research and analysis.





MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 路 Produce reports on portfolio risk and performance in support of asset allocation decisions 路 Create and maintain dashboards for macroeconomic and market factors to analyze and assist in the review of potential investment opportunities and themes 路 Produce reports on manager characteristics, performance, exposures, and liquidity as part of manager monitoring and due diligence for existing and potential investments 路 Interface with both internal departments and external vendors to oversee and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of reporting and execution 路 Coordinate the production of materials for Investment Committee meetings 路 Work on ad-hoc investment related projects as directed by the CIO





QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious, self-motivated individual who is analytical, detail-oriented, and has strong problem solving skills. Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills are essential. The candidate will have to be enterprising in their ability to maximize productivity with available software and vendor resources. The individual will have the ability to work well with others and interface with service providers, investment managers, and UJA-Federation鈙 internal and external constituents.





COMPETENCIES 路 One to three years of experience in a financial or analytical role at an investment firm, endowment, plan sponsor, or consultant 路 Experience aggregating, analyzing, and interpreting data and making fact-based recommendations 路 Knowledge of general investment principles and characteristics across asset classes 路 Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines while working on multiple projects with limited direction 路 Detail-oriented, analytical, with the ability to think critically and constructively challenge others 路 Superior oral and written communication skills 路 Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team 路 Proficient at learning and working with different software systems 路 Availability to travel as needed





EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 路 Bachelor鈙 Degree from a top-tier institution is required 路 Progress toward Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is desirable
